Dr. Samson Obure was on Tuesday May 8th elected as Dean Faculty of Health Sciences. Academic staff who took part in the election endorsed him unanimously at an event that was graced by the Registrar, Academic Affairs, Prof. Mwanarusi Said and Deputy Registrar in the same office, Dr. Maurice Udoto.

Egerton University has launched a fully refurbished spray race at Tatton Agriculture Farm. The facility is a major boost to livestock management and student training. It is expected to help combat tick-borne diseases and strengthen hands-on learning.

A major milestone has been achieved by  Egerton University  through the  Kenya  Potato Sustainable Initiative (KPSI),  after hosting a vibrant demonstration, farmers training on practical  mechanized crops production   during a farmers Field day  at Kiirua in Meru County.

It was all hands on deck at Egerton University as staff, students, government officials, and local schools turned out in full force for the Egerton University Tree Planting Day. The result? 6,300 trees planted in a single day, a bold step in support of Kenya’s national reforestation agenda.

Egerton University’s Agro-Science Park was a vibrant hub of learning and innovation when it hosted a Farmer Field Day focused on empowering farmers through climate-smart agriculture (CSA).

At the recent inter-university product development competition, Egerton University students truly shined, showcasing their innovation, teamwork, and technical skills.

Egerton University’s exhibition stand attracted national attention at the 2025 Nakuru ASK Show, drawing a visit from the Chief Guest, Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development, H.E. Hon. Mutahi Kagwe.

Egerton University on 8th, July, 2025, hosted a crucial stakeholder engagement forum at Njoro Campus, bringing together varied stakeholder groups for agricultural training and education sector in Kenya.

On the July 9th ,2025 , at Egerton University,Njoro Campus,Professor Nzula Kitaka led the planning committee for the Kenya National Research Festival (KNRF) 2025 to finalize preparations for the upcoming event.
