A highlight of the conference will be the launch of TAGDev 2.0, a program designed to strengthen universities and Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions in driving an inclusive, equitable, and climate-resilient transformation of Africa's agriculture and agrifood systems.

The panel on "Work Readiness: Transformative Efforts by African Universities" was opened by Egerton University Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Kibwage, who delivered a speech on behalf of Kenya’s Principal Secretary at the State Department for Higher Education and Research Dr Beatrice Inyangala.
