Egerton University welcomed its incoming first-year students with an inspiring address from Prof. Nzula Kitaka, Director of Marketing, Communication and Resources Mobilization urging students to seize every opportunity for growth, discovery and achievement during their time at the University. Prof KItaka said Njoro Campius, has a rich history and beautiful surroundings that offers a conducive environment for learning and innovation.
Egerton University played host to a significant national forum on 20 August 2025 during the Kenya National Research Festival, where stakeholders from across the education, government, and development sectors met to reflect on the future of agricultural education.
At Kilimo Hall, Egerton University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Kibwage, delivered a stirring orientation address aimed at shaping the incoming first-year cohort into responsible, morally grounded, and academically-focused individuals.
The atmosphere was animated yet solemn, as students listened attentively to Prof. Kibwage’s welcome.
Egerton University officially began receiving first-year students on Monday, 18th August 2025, marking the start of the new academic year. The institution was abuzz with activity as students flocked to the campus in large numbers, eager to embark on their academic journey.
