Egerton University was founded in 1939 as Egerton Farm School and was upgraded to an Agricultural College in 1950. In 1986, the Agricultural College became a constituent College of the University of Nairobi. It was elevated to a University in 1987 through an Act of Parliament.

Since its inception, the University has registered significant expansion in student in students, academic programmes and physical facilities. Currently the University has a student population of over 16,000 and a staff number of 1,553 and consists of two (2) campuses. Njoro Main Campus and Nakuru Town Campus College. 

The University invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals with excellent credentials to fill the following posts.

We are pleased to announce Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024 is now open for registration!

Huawei ICT Competition is a competitive ICT talent exchange event developed by Huawei for university/college students globally. To promote the healthy development of the ICT talent ecosystem and support the integration of industry and education, Huawei invites ICT Academies students with relevant majors to participate in the 8^th Huawei ICT Skills Competition.

Globally 120,000+ students, 2,200+ Colleges/Universities in 85 Countries and regions have joined Huawei ICT Competition. In Kenya Huawei ICT Competition has attracted over 13,000+ students since 2018 and this year targets 7,000+ students from over 70 Universities and Colleges.

The Competition will be held at a National Stage, Regional Stage and Global Stage. Awards include Huawei Certification Voucher up to HCIE, Laptop, Smartphone, Smartwatch, Cash Prize, Internship or Job Offers and travel for winning teams to China.
