Egerton University in Njoro Sub-County played host to Nakuru County Commissioner Mr. Loyford Kibaara in a major tree planting exercise that saw 2,500 trees planted within the institution. The initiative, held under the county’s monthly environmental drive, received support from Egerton University’s climate-smart agriculture program, with tree seedlings sponsored by Equity Bank’s Green Energy Initiative. Representing the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Kibwage, during the planting session was the Director of Marketing and Resource Mobilization, Prof. Nzula Kitaka.
A high-level meeting on the monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning environments in public universities took place on April 29, 2025, at FEDCOS Theatre II, Egerton University. The forum was led by officials from the Ministry of Education and brought together a wide range of university faculty and administrative leaders.
