Egerton University was founded in 1939 as Egerton Farm School and was upgraded to an Agricultural College in 1950. In 1986, the Agricultural College became a Constituent College of the University of Nairobi.
In accordance with Egerton University Statute(2023) 37:12(c);
A student shall be discontinued if she/he fails to attend scheduled classes for two(2) weeks or longer consecutively or cumulatively without the consent of the Senate
