Egerton University recently hosted a workshop to validate its Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) strategy, as well as its Consultancy Policy and Extension and Outreach Policy documents.The goal of the workshop was to gather insights from stakeholders, including important figures within the university such as the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, Professor Benard Aduda, and the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Administration Planning and Development, Richard Mulwa. The workshop was moderated by Professor Nancy Mungai.

It was a day of excitement and celebration on Friday, February 10, 2023, as Egerton University held its 46th Graduation ceremony at the main campus in Njoro, Nakuru City County. The ceremony marked the first physical graduation since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Rector of Abrar University Somalia, Prof Dr. Ahmed Abdulkadir Kadle, and Dr. Ahmed Said Mohamud, Director of Research & Post Graduate Studies at the University of Red Sea, Somalia, paid a visit to Egerton University yesterday morning.
In the 2022/2023 academic year, the Chancellor of Egerton University, Dr Narendra Raval, offered to sponsor an essay writing competition for all the undergraduate students of the University
Egerton University, under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Professor Isaac Kibwage, has recently been in talks with the County Government of Nakuru and the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry (MITI) to pool resources on an exciting new project. The proposed project involves the establishment of an industrial park on a 200-acre piece of land at the university.
Egerton University recently hosted a Volkswagen Foundation Humanities Fellows Workshop, which brought together international scholars from different parts of the world to share their research work and explore opportunities for collaboration.
This is to inform all staff members that the Vice Chancellor has recently made several appointments to various positions within the University. These appointments reflect the University's commitment to excellence in teaching, learning, research, and extension.
On 6 April, Dr Symon Kibet Kiprop was appointed as the Chairman of the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. His extensive experience and knowledge in Economics will help to elevate the Department to new heights.
In a visit to Egerton University, Principal Secretary for Gender and Affirmative Action Ms. Veronica M. Nduva has commended the institution for offering a Gender course that is responsive to the current needs of Kenyan society. She expressed her happiness and satisfaction with the curriculum at Egerton University and its potential impact on the country's Gender policy and documentation.
During her recent visit to Egerton University, Permanent Secretary (PS) for Gender, Veronica Nduva, received a unique gift - a plot of land known as 'The Gender Acre.' The Vice Chancellor, Prof Isaac Kibwage, presented the land to the PS during her visit to the institution.
Egerton University recently hosted a courtesy meeting with the State Department for Parliamentary Affairs, led by Principal Secretary Aurelia Rono. The PS was visiting the ARC Hotel where a team of top officials from her office was working on a strategic plan retreat.
Principal Secretary in the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary Ms Esther Ngero, in the State Department for Performance and Delivery Management, made a visit to Egerton University on Friday.
Her one-day trip was aimed at closing a meeting of staff from the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary, who were on a retreat at Egerton University ARC Hotel to develop a Strategic Plan. During the meeting, the PS expressed her gratitude to her team for their tireless efforts in making the document a success.
On World Press Freedom Day, journalists in the Nakuru Region of Kenya took a unique approach to celebrate their profession. Instead of organizing a conference or symposium, they organized a tree-growing exercise at Egerton University, Tatoon Farm Dam I site to promote environmental conservation.
Egerton University, established in 1939, held a grand Alumni gathering at the United Kenya Club Friday evening. In a significant stride towards fostering international collaborations and bridging relations between Kenya and Indonesia, the Indonesian Ambassador to Kenya, Dr Mohamad Hery Saripudin, together with the Director of Global Connectivity at IPB University in Indonesia, Dr Eva Anggraini, paid a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor of Egerton University, Prof. Isaac Kibwage, on June 22, 2023. The meeting, held at the Main Campus in Njoro, aimed to map out a way forward for future partnerships between IPB University and Egerton University.
Senior members from the State Department of Higher Education and Research, led by the Director, Mr Darius Ogutu, on Friday 23rd June 2023 were at Main Campus in Njoro for the Africa Higher Education Centre of Excellence (ACE) National Steering Committee meeting.
The team was received by Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Kibwage and Prof. George Owuor, Centre Director, the Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Agriculture & Agribusiness Management (CESAAM).
