The Faculty of Education and Community Studies (FEDCOS) conducted a Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) Training Workshop on Wednesday, 7 July 2021, at Main Campus in Njoro.
The Faculty of Engineering and Technology on Wednesday, 29 September, held a Water in Nexus with Agriculture sensitization meeting at Main Campus in Njoro with lecturers from the Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Education and Community Studies as well as international partners from The Netherlands.
Mutua Emmanuel, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Education and Community Studies and a Campus Coordinator, Africa Youth Leadership Forum together with Caroline Bosire, a student from the Faculty of Science were nominated to represent the University in a Master Trainers Course on Voter Education and Peace Building at the Kenya School of Government. The course was sponsored by the Universities and Colleges Students Peace Association of Kenya (UCSPAK) and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
In the 2022/2023 academic year, the Chancellor of Egerton University, Dr Narendra Raval, offered to sponsor an essay writing competition for all the undergraduate students of the University
Egerton University inaugurated the Pedagogy Training at the Science Complex geared towards enhancing teaching methodologies and strategies across all Faculties. The four-day training, commencing on January 23 and concluding on Friday, January 26, 2024, was organized by the Faculty of Education and Community Studies.
