On Saturday, February 3, 2024, the Alumni Association of Egerton University convened for a pivotal reflection session aimed at enhancing member welfare and assessing its strategic plan and budget. Chaired by Dr. Richard Rop, the meeting spotlighted the association's remarkable achievements and outlined plans for future growth.
Egerton University, established in 1939, held a grand Alumni gathering at the United Kenya Club Friday evening. The event brought together former students from various graduating classes, with the oldest representation hailing from the class of 1969.The atmosphere was filled with excitement and nostalgia as the attendees drawn from all over the world reunited to celebrate their alma mater's rich history and the achievements of its graduates.
The Egerton University swimming pool located at the Njoro Campus is set for reopening after getting a facelift by the Egerton University Alumni Association at a cost of about 150,000 Kenya Shillings.
The University community will soon be able to use the half-Olympic size swimming pool with sky-blue clear water again. The standard-sized swimming pool is 25ft by 17ft long and its shallow end is 3.5 ft while the deep end is 13.2 ft deep.
The Egerton University Alumni Association (EUAA) celebrated the relaunch of its Nakuru Chapter in a colourful ceremony held at Milele Resort on Saturday 26 March 2022. The Chief Guest during the relaunch was Prof. James Tuitoek who is a Commissioner at the National Land Commission. Prof. Tuitoek, who is a former Vice-Chancellor of Egerton University, is a Life Member of EUAA.
