Egerton University on 12 August 2021 marked the International Youth Day, whose theme was "Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health".
Following an intensive Peer Counselors training workshop coordinated by the Dean of Students office, 100 peer counsellors and 4 administrative staff members from key service Departments of the Dean of Students and Accommodation departments were finally inaugurated to begin their work.

Through the “Transforming African Agricultural Universities to meaningfully contribute to Africa’s Growth and Development (TAGDev) Program, Egerton University held the 4th National Forum for Universities, TVETs and Industry Players in the Agricultural Sector on 21 and 22 July 2021 virtually from the Main Campus in Njoro.

The Board holds meetings every quarter at the NTCC Boardroom to discuss issues affecting students and make general managerial decisions for the campus.
