The University wishes to inform all academic staff and students that normal academic activities will resume following the successful signing of the "Return to Work Formula" ending the industrial action.

Accordingly, classes will officially resume on Monday 10th November 2025.

The University appreciates the patience and understanding demonstrated by students during the recent interruption. We look forward to a smooth continuation of the Semester.

Due to the ongoing industrial action by the Universities' Academic Staff Union (UASU) and Kenya Universities Staff Union (KUSU) which has adversely affected the normalcy of University activities, the University Senate at its 580th meeting held on 4th November 2025 resolved that teaching and learning activities be formerly suspended until the industrial dispute is resolved.

This is to notify all students that a Special Resit Examination Session for the 2024-2025

Academic Year has been scheduled for 25th – 29th August 2025. These Examinations are EXCLUSIVELY for students who:

1. Failed special examinations taken during the 2024-2025 resit/special examination session that was held in July 2025.
2. Failed to sit for resit examinations during the 2024-2025 Academic Year resit/special examinations session held in July 2025 and have obtained an official approval from the University.
