  • Egerton University recently teamed up with other stakeholders in a drive to plant over 10,000 tree seedlings within the Dundori Forest Station to support the Mau Reforestation Project through the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) Adopt-A-Forest model. The Green Belt Movement (GBM) and the French Government, through the French Development Agency (AFD), have adopted a block in the forest dubbed the "French Corner" for rehabilitation and restoration.

  • Egerton University, located in the heart of the Rift Valley region of Kenya, had always prided itself on its commitment to environmental conservation. It was no surprise, then, that the university was chosen to host the Eighth Edition of the Run for the Mau Ecosystem cross country event, a highly-anticipated event that aimed to raise awareness about the importance of conserving the Mau Forest, one of the largest water towers in East Africa.
