First-year students began participating in the orientation programme on 7 September 2021. This year, the orientation is in-person at Main Campus and Nakuru Town Campus College (NTCC), a change from last year’s virtual orientation programme.

The Nakuru Town Campus College (NTCC) concluded the orientation exercise for first-year students for 2021/22 academic year on Tuesday 14^th September 2021.

Egerton University officially began receiving first-year students on Monday, 18th August 2025, marking the start of the new academic year. The institution was abuzz with activity as students flocked to the campus in large numbers, eager to embark on their academic journey.
