WORK EXPERIENCE

October 2019 to date: PROJECT MANAGERPROJECT MANAGER- Egerton University Faculty of Law Legal Aid Project(Funded by UNDP-Amkeni Wakenya)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide legal advice and where necessary legal representation to needy clients of the project.
  2. Advocacy and awareness creation on gender and human rights issues.
  3. Make interventions and petitions on behalf of the public on gender and human rights related issues including Public Interest Litigation (PIL).
  4. Link with strategic partners including NGOs, Government departments and relevant bodies.
  5. Support clients to access justice through Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and other informal justice systems.
  6. Preparation of programme /activity plans and reports.
  7. Attends meetings as may be directed the Program Leader.
  8. Develop a community network to facilitate the project acceptance and ownership.
  9. Identify, analyze and bring to the attention of the, Program Leader funding opportunities.
  10. Develop timely reports when and if required based on activities, donor templates and stakeholder interaction framework

  • Implementing the Faculty of Law Legal Aid Project as the Project Manager - Funded by European Union and UNDP Amkeni Wakenya.
