WORK EXPERIENCE
  1. EGERTON UNIVERSITY

University Chaplain (2013 - Present):

As the university chaplain, I provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care to students and staff, addressing their personal, academic, and emotional needs. I create a supportive environment for the University community, offering guidance and counseling on a range of issues, including academic pressures, personal relationships, and spiritual development.

Lecturer, Institute of Women, Gender, and Development Studies, Egerton University (2024 - Present):

I currently serve as a full-time lecturer, having previously taught part-time at both the Institute of Women, Gender, and Development Studies and the Department of Philosophy, History and Religious. In my role, I teach and mentor students, contribute to curriculum development, and engage in gender and development research.

Part-time Lecturer, Department of Philosophy History and Religious studies, Egerton University (2011-2023)

I taught undergraduate students in various courses, focusing on the intersection of religion, gender, and society, helping students critically engage with key issues in these areas.

Policy Development:

  • Developed and contributed to the Alcohol, Drugs, and Substance Abuse Policy for Egerton University.

  • Contributed to the development of organizational policies in the ACK Diocese of Nakuru that support community development, well-being, and governance.

 

Research and Collaboration:

I am actively engaged in research and currently involved in a collaborative research project with six other researchers, focusing on issues related to gender and development. This work aims to contribute to academic knowledge and promote practical solutions for addressing gender-based challenges.

Supervision and Mentorship:

I am currently supervising five Master's students at Egerton University, guiding them through their research and academic development in the field of gender and development.

 

2. ANGLICAN CHURCH OF KENYA (2003 - PESESNT)

Ordained Anglican Priest (December 2003):

Ordained as a priest, I have served in various pastoral capacities, providing spiritual guidance, counseling, and support to both individuals and communities. I have worked with diverse groups on social, marital, financial, and academic issues, offering holistic support through counseling and community service.

Administrative Secretary, ACK Diocese of Nakuru (2008 - 2010):

As the administrative secretary of the Diocese, I played a key role in managing administrative tasks, supporting diocesan activities, and ensuring the smooth running of operations within the Diocese.

Archdeacon, Anglican Diocese of Nakuru (2011-2013):

In my role as an Archdeacon, I combined pastoral duties with administrative responsibilities, overseeing church operations and supporting clergy and church members in their spiritual and community needs.
