WORK EXPERIENCE

1. 2017 to Date

Senior Technologist III and Acting Chief Technologist. Department of Medical Physiology,Faculty of Health Sciences (Egerton University) Participate in the running of the department. Conducting and demonstration of practical’s. Prepare, apply and update Laboratory Manuals. Setting, Invigilating and marking practical’s exams, Departmental liaison person for the ISO (EMS), Procurement of Departmental needs. Manage all laboratory activities. Maintaining and safe storing of Laboratory equipments. 

2. May 2014 to 2017:

Technologist I .and Acting Chief Technologist Department of Medical Physiology,Faculty of Health Sciences (Egerton University)  Participate in the running of the department. Conducting and demonstration of practical’s. Prepare, apply and update Laboratory Manuals. Setting, Invigilating and marking practical’s exams, Departmental liaison person for the ISO (EMS), Assist in procuring Departmental needs. Maintaining and safe storing of Laboratory equipments.

3. Feb 2002-April 2014

 

Senior Tutor Department of Health Science Tracom College- Tutoring students in fields of medical laboratory sciences, Pharmacy and community health and development (Biochemistry, Histopathology, Haematology, Anatomy and physiology and Chemical pathology). Supervision of students in research project writing. Prepare, apply and update Laboratory Manuals.

Deputy Head of Health Science Department –Tracom college- Coordinating all Departmental activities, Preparation of Timetables, academic SchedulesConvening and Chairing of departmental meetings, Introduction of New Courses, Supervising the implementation of Curriculums in the department.

4.  March 2013-May 2014

Part time Tutor- PCEA Nakuru West College Of Nursing - Tutor in medical Microbiology, Parasitology and Immunology, Setting and marking of examinations.

Compile and submit monthly Laboratory reports to my immediate supervisor. Health talks and campaigns.

6. Sept 2013-May 2014

Part-time Laboratory Technologist Department of Biochemistry Egerton University. Conducting practicals to Biomedical and Biochemistry students. Marking of practicals reports, Assist in the research projects in the laboratory.

7 June 2005-Dec 2005
