Key Responsibilities

  • Designing questionnaires for data collection for surveys and audits.
  • Designing online data collection tools (Open Data Kit (ODK), Google forms and KoboCollect).
  • Managing manual and online administration of questionnaires for audits and surveys in coordination with the audit and survey teams.
  • Conducting entry, cleaning, validation, analysis and interpretation of large datasets in the university.
  • Writing audit and survey reports/manuscripts for publication.
  • Managing Egerton University Teaching Effectiveness Evaluation Management system (TEEMS).
  • Collecting and compiling university’s data for Commission for University Education (CUE), cleaning and uploading on University Education Management Information System (UEMIS).
  • Liaising with other departments in the university to provide technical support to resolve statistical challenges.

Key Achievements

  1. I automated data collection that reduced questionnaire administration costs.
  2. I was appointed Directorate's Information Security Management System (ISMS) champion by Deputy Vice Chancellor (AP&D) to safeguarde data by promoting awareness of information security protocols in compliance with The Data Protection Act, 2019.
  3. I was appointed as liaison person in charge of Performance Contract by Director, DQA for preparing and submitting quarterly reports to Integrity Promotion Committee (IPC) on issues related to Corruption Prevention/Eradication.
