Egerton University will hold its 42nd Graduation ceremony through virtual platform on 31st July 2020. To ensure a smooth graduation process and enhance accuracy and speed of processing of certificates, the prospective graduands are requested to observe the following and strictly adhere to the specified deadlines.
It is the responsibility of each prospective graduand to confirm his/her EXAMINATION
RESULTS by contacting their respective Deans’ offices from Monday 6th July 2020. The results are also available in the student portal.
2. APPLICATION FOR GRADUATION
All prospective graduands are required to apply for graduation online through their student portal as follows:
Note: All clearance prior to graduation will be done online. Prospective graduands are not required to clear physically with other University departments.
All prospective graduands are required to fill online and download the “Application for Graduation Form” from selfcare.egerton.ac.ke
You will receive a download link for the “Application for Graduation Form”. Download and print three copies to be submitted to your respective faculties during the collection of your certificates.
The following are the revised mandatory fees for the various categories of graduands and excludes the cost of hiring the graduation attire.

These fees must be paid at any branch of the Kenya Commercial Bank into Egerton University Account No. 1107933919 indicating your registration number.
The prospective graduands must ensure that their names are in the order in which they shall appear in the final certificate (without initials) and should be the same as in previous certificates, admission letter and supported by the National Identification card. Any correction thereafter shall attract a fee.
The prospective graduands are encouraged to visit graduation.egerton.ac.ke to access more information on the 42nd graduation ceremony including downloading the programme, graduation booklet, Newslink magazine and graduation etiquette. The website will be activated during the graduation week as from 26th July 2020. This website will feature graduation speakers, a section where parents, friends and guardians can share graduation messages and photos, live stream details and responses to frequently asked questions (FAQs).
Note: Final Graduation List will be posted on the Egerton University Website on Friday 24th July 2020.

TO ALL STUDENTS:
This is to inform all students (including Y2 and Y3) that the University is in the process of preparing for e-learning which requires updating of records. You are therefore required to visit verify.egerton.ac.ke to update your records. This process should be completed by 5th June 2020. Kindly visit the University website or Egerton University App 10 download the E-Learning Learner Support Handbook.
Students who were on session when the university closed and had not registered online are also required to do so before 5th June 2020.

Following our notice dated 22nd May 2020 regarding updating of records and online registration, this is to inform you that the University will start offering online classes from Monday 6th July 2020.
The timetable that was running prior to university closure will be used for real-time chats with the lecturers.
Students are expected to access the e-platform through e-learning.egerton,ac.ke. The username and password will be sent to the email address you provided during verification.

On Thursday 2 April 2020, Egerton University’s Chancellor who also serves as the Chairman of Devki Steel Mills Limited Dr. Narendra Raval, donated oxygen worth Ksh. 100 million to all government hospitals in Kenya. As our Chancellor, we recognize and appreciate his contributions to assist in fighting the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Following the presidential directive on the closure of learning institutions due to the unfolding development on Coronavirus (COVID-19), Senate its 510th special meeting held on Tuesday 17th March 2020 resolved to sus[end all academic activities and close the University with immediate effect until further notice.
Students are expected to Vacate the University premises by Friday 20th March 2020.
All International Students who will not be able to travel to their home countries are advised to stay in their hostels/houses and ensure minimal movement within and outside the university and liaise with their program leaders / Centre coordinators/Deans for any updates.
Communication to staff who may be required for essential services will be made by the office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration, Planning & Development).
Important updates will be communicated periodically through the University website, social media platforms and any other convenient means.
During this period, all staff and students are advised to take precautionary measures as per the Ministry of Health Regulations.
