Egerton University is a public University in Kenya.

The University invites qualified institutions and individuals to express interest in development and implementation of health management information system for medical department. The implementation of the software is geared towards developing a scalable solution that will enable the University to integrate all business systems and operations on one platform. The software should integrate, among other modules; Patient Registration, In-patient Management, Out-patient Management, Helpdesk & support, Specialties treatments, Doctor’s Desk, Appointment management, Nurse Station, Facility management, Investigations/Lab, Radiology Management, Pharmacy Management, Operation Theatre Management, Ambulance Management, Locum Management, Assets Management/ store management, Settings Administration Module, Biometric Device Interface, Barcode Scanner Interface, Manage Multiple Locations, Mpesa / Bulk SMS Integration, Medical Laboratory Equipment Integration, Master Information Systems Reports, MIS Dashboard, Morgue Management, System Technology and Backup/Restore Module. The software should provide a secure web based portal that integrates data collection, processing, reporting, and making use of the information necessary for improving health service effectiveness and efficiency through better management at all levels of health services.

Firms MUST provide the following eligibility requirements to be used as evaluation criteria:

• Detailed company profile, physical address, and qualification of Lead consultant and names of 2 technical staff to undertake the assignment, including their qualifications with lead consultant to have a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or related field and 2 technical/support staff to have a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or related field (CVs and academic certificates of key managers and the support staff to be attached).
• Certificate of Registration or Incorporation,
• Valid and relevant Business Permit from the region the business operates from
• Copy of Tax Compliance Certificate (to be verified online through KRA TCC checker).
• Audited accounts for the last 2 years (2020 and 2021).
• Firm Experience: The firm must have previous experience of a minimum of three (3) years in development and implementation of financial reporting software in compliance with IPSAS – attach evidence.
• Reference: The firm should have provided the service to at least three organizations preferably in a busy hospital -To provide evidence and contact person(s) with their telephone contacts in each case.

A set of complete tender documents (1 Original and 2 copies- serialized/paginated) in a plain sealed envelope clearly indicating “Tender No. EU/EOI/56/2021-2022: Expression of Interest in development and implementation of health management information system for medical department “should be deposited in the tender box located at ground floor Procurement department building, Njoro campus along Njoro Mau-Narok road.
