Egerton University has established itself as a leader in climate-smart agriculture and sustainable food systems. This recognition comes after Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac O. Kibwage attended the International Conference on Agricultural Ecology and Green Production at Huanggang Normal University from May 15 to 17, 2026. 

Egerton University joined leading researchers, innovators, policymakers, and institutions from across the country during the inaugural Science, Technology, Research and Innovation for Society (STRI4Society) Week held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Nairobi.

Nairobi, May 25, 2026 —Egerton University and  Corporation For Africa and Overseas (CFAO-Kenya)  today   formally entered into  a strategic partnership aimed at promoting mechanized agriculture at the University through Faculty of Agricultural Engineering.
