Nakuru, Egerton — July 13, 2026:

 A delegation from West Virginia University (WVU), led by  their team lead Jeorge Atiles of Virginia West University and  senior officials, paid a courtesy visit to Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Kibwage at Egerton University. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen academic collaboration and  partnership opportunities  between the two  institutions.

Egerton University hosted a team from the Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) on 15 June 2026 as part of an assessment linked to the University’s application to host beneficiaries under Phase II of the East African Community Scholarship Programme.

Vice Chancellor Professor Kibwage Leads Egerton Senior Management in National Values capacity Building Nakuru, Njoro, 29th May, 2026. Egerton University Senior Staff Led by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Isaac Kibwage hosted a team from the Directorate of National Cohesion and Values, in the office of Prime Cabinet Secretary for national values sensitization training. The Egerton senior team included UMB, Deans of faculties, Directors of Institutes, Chair of Departments, and Heads of non-Academic Departments. 

Egerton University is solidifying its position as a regional leader in agricultural innovation following a high-level meeting on Monday between Vice-Chancellor Prof. Isaac Kibwage and Kilimo Trust Kenya Country Director Mr. Antony Mugambi. The engagement advanced plans for establishing a Joint Centre of Excellence in Regenerative Agriculture to be hosted at the university’s Agro-Science Park.
