    As a student, you can still sanitize/wash your hands, keep social distancing and wear masks while having fun at the campus. Starting from 29th January, the Egerton University COVID -19 sensitization team has been going around Njoro Campus hostels and off-campus hostels to sensitize students on COVID-19 preventative measures. 

  • Art of Countering Violent Extremism in Kenya: Images, Texts, Things

    Egerton University and Volkswagen Foundation wish you to invite to an exhibition titled 'Art of Countering Violent Extremism in Kenya: Images, Texts, Things' to be held at the Nairobi National Museum and on virtual platforms between 08-28 February 2021. The exhibition is convened by Dr. Halkano A. Wario as part of his Volkswagen Foundation supported project. You are also invited to four virtual seminars organized within the exhibition framework on 09, 15, 18 and 25 February 2021. Watch this space for the seminar posters announcements.

  • Egerton University has once again topped in University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) rankings system.

  • eu follapIn its quest to promote access to justice among vulnerable members of the community, FOLLAP has trained a section of Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs in Nakuru Country on alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms.

    During the training that took place on Friday 21 May at the Njoro Campus of Egerton University, the Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs were encouraged to use other means of conflict resolution among the residents they serve.

    The training looked at the legal basis of ADR, its advantages as well as its challenges and benefitted than 40 participants.

  • The 43rd Congregation (Virtual) for the Conferment of Degrees and Award of Diplomas - Friday 18th June, 2021

  • Members of the Nakuru Town Campus  College (NTCC) Management Board pose for a group photo after a meeting on Monday, 19 July 2021 at NTCC. The NTCC Management Board comprises Deans and Directors of Faculties, Institutes and Schools with courses based in the campus. The Board holds meetings every quarter at the NTCC Boardroom to discuss issues affecting students and make general managerial decisions for the campus.

  • Following an intensive Peer Counselors training workshop coordinated by the Dean of Students office, 100 peer counsellors and 4 administrative staff members from key service Departments of the Dean of Students and Accommodation departments were finally inaugurated to begin their work.

  • A section of medical professionals in Nakuru county have agreed to work closely with the Faculty of Law Legal Aid Project (FOLLAP) in helping survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) to access justice.

  • First-year students began participating in the orientation programme on 7 September 2021. This year, the orientation is in-person at Main Campus and Nakuru Town Campus College (NTCC), a change from last year’s virtual orientation programme.

  • The Nakuru Town Campus College (NTCC) concluded the orientation exercise for first-year students for 2021/22 academic year on Tuesday 14th September 2021.

  • A section of the Nakuru County Security team visited Egerton University’s Nakuru Town Campus College (NTCC) on Tuesday 5th October, for a courtesy call.

    Led by the Nakuru County Police Commander Beatrice Kiraguri, the team held talks with a team from NTCC on different ways of collaborating to ensure safety for all the staff and students at the campus.

  • Egerton University, Kenya, in partnership with the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) and Gulu University in Uganda, through the support from MasterCard Foundation, is implementing a Program titled “Transforming African Agricultural Universities to meaningfully contribute to Africa’s Growth and Development (TAGDev)”.
