In a visit to Egerton University, Principal Secretary for Gender and Affirmative Action Ms. Veronica M. Nduva has commended the institution for offering a Gender course that is responsive to the current needs of Kenyan society. She expressed her happiness and satisfaction with the curriculum at Egerton University and its potential impact on the country's Gender policy and documentation.

This is to inform all staff members that the Vice Chancellor  has recently made several appointments to various positions within the University. These appointments reflect the University's commitment to excellence in teaching, learning, research, and extension.

On 6 April, Dr Symon Kibet Kiprop was appointed as the Chairman of the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. His extensive experience and knowledge in Economics will help to elevate the Department to new heights.

Egerton University's Research and Extension Directorate recently conducted a training program for its researchers and postgraduate students on how to carry out a meta-analysis. The training, which covered the entire process of conducting a meta-analysis, was led by Dr. Lisa Tiemann, a visiting professor from Michigan State University, USA.

Egerton University recently hosted a Volkswagen Foundation Humanities Fellows Workshop, which brought together international scholars from different parts of the world to share their research work and explore opportunities for collaboration.
