In recent developments at the University, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Kibwage made a series of key appointments and reappointments.
On 13 June Mr. Wekesa Talia was appointed Assistant Dean of Students at Nakuru Campus College. His vast experience and dedication to student welfare are expected to be valuable assets in this role.
Prof. Mary Omwamba was reappointed as the Chairperson of the Department of Dairy and Food Science Technology at the Faculty of Agriculture on 7 June. Her previous tenure showcased exceptional leadership and expertise in the field, making her an ideal choice for continued leadership.
Dr Catherine Mumiukha's appointment as the Chairperson of the Department of Psychology Counselling and Education Foundations at the Faculty of Education and Community Studies on 6 June reflects the University's emphasis on academic excellence in psychology and education.
On 30 May, Dr Miriam Kyule was appointed the acting Chairperson of the Department of Agricultural Education and Extension at the Faculty of Education and Community Studies. Her knowledge of the subject and enthusiasm for advancing agricultural education will benefit the Department.
Dr Charles Irungu was appointed Chairperson of the Department of Biological Sciences at the Faculty of Science on 2 May.
Mr Gerald Areba was appointed as the acting Manager of Tatton Agricultural Park (TAP) on 28 April. His appointment is expected to lead TAP towards greater success and recognition.
Prof. Patience Mshenga was reappointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture on 17 April. Her exceptional leadership during her previous term merited her reappointment to continue driving progress within the Faculty.
Dr Maxwel Miyawa was appointed as the acting Chairperson of the Department of Public Law at the Faculty of Law on 14 April. Finally, on 13 April, Stephen Njeru was appointed the acting Chairperson of the Department of Electrical and Control Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. His expertise in engineering is expected to contribute significantly to the Department's growth and development.
