Egerton University, Kenya, in partnership with the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) and Gulu University in Uganda, through the support from MasterCard Foundation, is implementing a Program titled “Transforming African Agricultural Universities to meaningfully contribute to Africa’s Growth and Development (TAGDev)”.
Egerton University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Isaac Kibwage, on Tuesday, 31 May 2022, presided over the swearing-in of newly elected Egerton University Student Association (EUSA) officials at Main Campus in Njoro.
It is now official. Egerton University has won the bid to host the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) Regional Research Centre (RRC), and it isthe first of such a centre in sub-Saharan Africa.
Egerton University and Bowie State University, USA, launched the 2022 Research and Extension Experience for Undergraduates at Main Campus in Njoro on 8th June 2022.
Egerton University is partnering with Wageningen University (the Netherlands) to implement the REFOOTURE project in Kenya. REFOOTURE, an acronym for Regenerative Food and Future, is funded by the IKEA Foundation. It is mobilising innovation capacity and strengthening the enabling environment through living labs in East African countries of Kenya, Ethiopia and Uganda.
