Covid 19 prevention is a community effort, Egerton University staff are also taking measures to prevent the spread of the virus.

As a student, you can still sanitize/wash your hands, keep social distancing and wear masks while having fun at the campus. Starting from 29^th January, the Egerton University COVID -19 sensitization team has been going around Njoro Campus hostels and off-campus hostels to sensitize students on COVID-19 preventative measures. 

On Wednesday, 24 March 2021, Egerton University commenced the COVID-19 vaccination campaign, first targeting staff members from the Medical Department and the Faculty of Health Sciences.

If you are a contact of a person who has COVID-19, or who has received a positive COVID-19 tst result, remember that contracting the virus is no one's fault.

In collaboration with the Faculty of Health Services and the Nakuru County Government, the Division has constructed hand-washing facilities in all University entry/exit points and within all buildings, including lecture halls, hostels, offices, and other public areas.

The Limnology and Wetlands Management Programme (LWM) is part of the Education and Research Hub for the Sustainable Management of Aquatic Ecosystems in East Africa (AQUAHUB) project.

Egerton University lecturer in Paediatrics and Child Health, Dr Ombeva Malande and other health workers who recovered from COVID-19 have written a book titled: SURVIVING COVID-19: Experiencing God’s overcoming grace - The reflections of Ombeva Malande and other health workers who suffered and recovered from COVID-19.

Whenever he is not in class or completing an academic assignment at Kenya’s Egerton University, Gabriel Kwendo is likely to be at Comrades Dairy, helping to make and package yoghurt or sell milk to customers.
