Egerton University Shines at 2025 Nakuru ASK Show


Egerton University made a strong statement at the 2025 Nakuru Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) National Show, taking home top honours across multiple categories. The University emerged first in Best University Stand and Best Stand in Research and Development, underscoring its leadership in innovation and academic excellence.

In addition, Egerton earned second place for Best Stand that Best Interprets the Current Show Theme and Best Innovation and Invention Stand, and came third in Best Agro-processing Stand.

The University’s commitment to youth empowerment was also recognised, securing second place in Best Stand in Youth Activities, Empowerment and Capacity Building.

A particularly proud moment came in the livestock category, where Egerton University’s farms won both the Toggenburg Champion and Corriedale Champion trophies. The awards were presented by Nakuru County Deputy Governor H.E. Hon. David Kones to Prof. Bernard Aduda, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics, Research & Extension). Prof. George Ogendi, Principal of Nakuru City Campus College, and Prof. George Owuor, Director, Research and Extension, were also in attendance.

These accolades are a testament to the dedication of staff, students, and researchers across the University, and reflect Egerton’s continued commitment to excellence in training, innovation, and community engagement.
