The following is information about Credit transfer which is given for similar course units from other recognized institution

Credit Transfer

The University offers Credit Transfer in Undergraduate Programs for similar course units done in any other recognised institution. The University only offers credit transfer for units in the first and Second year. In addittion to that, these units should not be University Common courses. Exemptions of upto 60% of the 1st and and 2nd year courses can be offered.
The following are steps to apply for credit transfer:

  • Download the Credit Transfer form from the link given below
  • Fill the form approriately,
  • Access a copy of our catalog to get the list of courses in the program you are taking. (This is given in individual program page).
  • Identify courses you did the previous institution that are similar to the ones in our catalog, these should be the ones you wish to be exempted from
  • Fill the list of the identified courses in the form,
  • Pay the registration fee to the account number given in the form
  • Scan the filled form and the slip and send them to our email

The following is a list of the common courses offered in the University, a student cannot be exempted from these;

  • COMP 101: Introduction to Computer and Computer Applications
  • COMS 101: Communication Skills
  • ZOOL 143: Biology of HIV/AIDS
  • HIST 100: National Cohesion and Integration in Kenya
