Introduction

Egerton Secretaries Club is a Professional club which brings Egerton University secretarial staff together. The club aims at encouraging and promoting high ethical professionalism standards and enhancing members? interactions.

Membership is by application and is restricted to Egerton University Secretarial Staff only at the Main Campus ? Njoro and Nakuru Town campus.

The club was founded in August 2000.  Members hold an Annual General Meeting mid year where club officials are elected and resolutions passed.  Every end year, members also meet for a social function where occasionally invite speakers to give talks on interesting and informative topics and also organize local and international tours to visit places of interest.

About the Club

The Club is led by the able patronage of Prof. LENA NAKHONE ? Director Nakuru Town Campus and Club Officers and Coordinators as listed below.
Club Coordinators are an easy reach and link between the members and management, hence members are encouraged to liaise with them in case of need.

Besides promoting professional ethics and enhancing interactions, the club also offers moral and financial support to members as provided for in the Constitution during:-

  • Celebrating New Borns
  • Illness
  • Retirement
  • Bereavement

Other Ventures

The Club has ventured into stock market and invested a portion of members? savings in shares.  It is committed in safeguarding members? interests.
