OPEN DAY-2ND MARCH 2012

Egerton University will hold its second Open Day on 2nd March 2012 at the Sports Pavilion, Njoro Campus from 9.00 am.

The theme for this year’s event is “Providing Exemplary Education for National and Global Development”.

The Open Day is an event where the University staff interacts with the stakeholders including businesses and the general public to share their programmes, activities and plans.

It is during this day that the University showcases its role in the community and the Nation. It is here that the  guests gets to know about the courses offered, talk to lecturers and tutors about what studying these courses entails and in the process get a feel of the ambience of the place that would help make informed decision on choosing a course or identify business partnerships.

The event is instrumental in getting to the core of learning, research, innovations and development opportunities that Egerton University provides.

The focus of the University remains the expansion of access to University education,, to allow for large numbers of students to get placements in our Institution especially with the forthcoming double intakes. For example Nakuru Town Campus now occupies a spacious new building (called Town Campus) with a capacity to accommodate over 900 students, complete with staff offices.  The Faculty of Health Sciences Town Campus Complex is  now  partially complete and occupied.

The Departments of Chemistry and Biochemistry have also moved to their new offices in the Science Complex at Njoro Campus. Egerton University also has in place some of the best laboratories in the region and beyond.
