Introduction
The Finance Officer is responsible to the Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration and Finance for the overrall management of the University funds, and prepares the long term financial plans and annual budgets for the University. The Officer is also responsible for financial control in conformity with Government and International procedures.
Services
Finance Department provides financial services to the University Staff, customers, stakeholders and General Public.
The department‘s mission is to provide excellent and effective financial services to all our stakeholders nationally and globally.

Mandate
The department’s mandate includes:
1. Maintenance of financial records.
2. Preparation & presentation of financial statements
3. Safe custody of assets
4. Management of University financial resources
5. Corporate social responsibility
6. Promotion of social fairness in all matters affecting standards & staff.
7. Advisory and consultancy in financial services.
