ADMISSION CRITERIA

AII candidates admitted to the degree programme must satisfy the minimum entrance requirements stipulated in the common university entrance regulations.

In addition, candidates must obtain at least the minimum grades in the following cluster subjects at Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education(KCSE)

Mathematics B Physics B C         Chemistry B Either Biology or geography or any Group IV subjects B Those holding qualifications equivalent to the KCSE above from institutions recognized by the University Senate may also be admitted. Admission may be offered to outstanding Diploma holders in related Engineering disciplines passed with credit or above or there equivalent from institutions recognized by Egerton Senate .The ‘’related disciplines ‘’ will be agreed upon at the time of short listing the Diploma applicants by the short- listing committee.Transfer of credit up to a maximum of 30% of the total CF may be considered for Diploma holders based on guidelines stipulated by the Senate.Self sponsored applicants Shall be required to meet the University and Faculty admissions criteria.
