The degree can take between 3 to 6 years depending on the number of units you take per session (There are three sessions in a year). To complete your degree, there is a number of units you are supposed to take. Go to the Programs page and click on the specific program you want to pursue and check the number of units you are to take. To find out how long you will take, divide the total number of units given there by the number of units you want to take per session.

Yes. It is the same degree taught by the same lecturers who teach the regular students. In addition to this, the minimum number of hours required to complete each course unit is met. The only difference is your mode of study.

There are no physical classes. Everything is conducted online. However, there are times where the lecturer may want to have a face-to-face session or the course unit requires a presentation to be made and thus require you to be in the agreed upon venue physically.

Before the start of the new session, you should have cleared the fee for previous session in order to be enrolled. Once you are enrolled for the new session, you are required to pay the administrative fee and for a minimum of three units so that you can register on the student portal. You should pay the rest before the CATS.

Being an online mode of study, it is prudent to have your own computer. However, as long as you are able to access the online platform and interact as required, the choice of device you use is up to you to decide. The site can be accessed by any device with an internet connection. Such devices include laptops, desktops, smartphones, tablets, etc.

All communication is posted to the site news on the e-learning platform. Email/text may also used for communication specific to a certain cohort or group of students. As such you are advised to regularly check the site so that you do not miss important updates.

When you are in your first year of study, you can take a minimum of three units and a maximum of five units. However, as you advance and are able to cope, you can take a maximum of six units. Remember taking less units in a session will result in a longer completion time for your degree and vice versa. We recommend that you take the same number of units as your classmates so that you move together as a group/cohort.

You can interact with your lecturers on the e-learning platform and off the platform. On the plaform you can use the Discussion forums, Chat sessions and Messaging (You will be taught how to use these during your orientation). Away from the platform, you can use email, texts or phone calls. You can get their contact information in the Course preliminaries section under the 'Need Help Section'.

Books are not given. However, upon becoming a student, you are issued an identity card that allows you access to the university library at any of the campuses as well as links to the various online journals the university has subscribed to. Additionally, after each topic, your lecturer provides a list of resources that pertain to the topic content some of which are downloadable articles.
